Google+, the principal rival for the social network Facebook, is preparing a major revision and is about to receive a new interface.
Starting from the motto “simply beautiful” Google aims to diversify interface, to personalize Google+ by improving facilities for content distribution in circles of friends and a video call function, well finished for Hangouts function.
The news also include a “dynamic ribbon”, visible on the left. According to Google, the new ribbon provides space for the introduction of “next generation of Google+ features”, but for now will serve as a quick way to access Google+ main sections: Home, Circles, Profile, Hangouts, Photos, Pages, Explore and others.
Conversations with friends on Google+ are separated into individual boxes, designed to help us follow the discussion thread more easily. Also, conversations from their community of friends are grouped in a separate thread of activities. Explore Page bring the interesting posts and very active conversation threads on Google+.
Hangouts function was extended by adding a dedicated page to video chat, where we find a constantly updated list of invitations to chat from users on the circles of friends. All public’s hangouts are displayed here, so joining an active chat session is much simplified. However, the most popular hangouts sites are outlined in a “rotating ad”, along with other general information.
