OS vulnerabilities appear every day so as protections against these must be implemented in time for data protection and personal computers.

As I said, Windows XP is vulnerable to view a thumbnail photo type, and by exploiting security holes that an attacker can completely take control of your computer.
To fix this vulnerability until Microsoft is going out a security update here is what you have to do:
- Open a command line – command prompt (DOS)
- Go to Start, then Run (or try Windows + R key combination), you write something in that box delete and type CMD then press OK
- Enter the following command in the new window that appears (usually with a black background) for Windows XP 32-bit:
cacls% WINDIR%\SYSTEM32\shimgvw.dll/E/P everyone: N
- After Microsoft will release a software patch for this vulnerability will have to return to default settings and so we will have to run the following command:
cacls% WINDIR%\SYSTEM32\shimgvw.dll/E/ R everyone
